CASTLE OF CSESZNEK

One of the jewels of Bakony is the 13th-century castle that can be seen above the serpentine of the main road between Győr and Veszprém, radiating strength even in its ruins.

The first castle was built by Baron Jakab of the Bana family, master sword bearer, on a rock peak that was excellent for defense. At the beginning of the 14th century, it was bought by the Csák family, later the Anjou King Charles received the territory through exchange It became part of the royal estate, which is abundant in game.
